Grand Opening of the new Goodwill store and donation station in Annaville
Corpus Christi, TX – Goodwill Industries of South Texas, Inc. is proud to announce the opening of their newest and largest store and donation station in the Coastal Bend. Located at 11330 Leopard Street (at Violet Road next to Planet Fitness) a ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 14th at 9:00 a.m.
The over 16,000 square foot facility, with over 10,000 square feet of sales floor, the store offers shoppers an assortment of gently-used donated clothing and other household items at affordable prices. According to Steven Guerrero, director of retail sales at Goodwill, “the store will also include an assortment of new goods and other name brand items.”
Goodwill is more than a store. According to John Owen, president & CEO for Goodwill, “most people are unaware that when they shop and donate at Goodwill, they become job-creators. The revenue generated from sales goes towards funding Goodwill’s mission services that include job training and employment opportunities for people such as those with disabilities, veterans, or ex-offenders.”
According to Marjorie Boudreaux, vice president for Goodwill, “Goodwill believes in the power of work, and that through work many social issues can be resolved. Our stores and donation stations exist to give people in need a hand-up rather than a hand-out. In 2017 Goodwill served over 4,500 individuals needing assistance.”
